What is Boldenone?
Boldenone undecylenate, commonly known as Equipoise or EQ, is an injectable veterinary steroid developed for racehorses and cattle. It promotes lean muscle growth and appetite, giving animals more muscle definition without unwanted mass.
Bodybuilders eventually discovered Equipoise and realised its muscle-building properties also applied very well to humans. It soon became adopted within the world of competitive bodybuilding and strength sports.
How Does Boldenone Work?
The muscle-boosting magic of boldenone centres around its ability to increase nitrogen retention in muscle tissue. Nitrogen is essential for producing protein and building lean muscle. When using Boldenone, muscles retain more nitrogen, resulting in better rates of protein synthesis.
Boldenone also binds to androgen receptors located in muscle cells, just as testosterone does. This androgenic binding drives further signals for growth, amplifying the effects of nitrogen retention. By enhancing the body’s anabolic environment through these synergistic mechanisms, boldenone stimulates impressive muscular size and strength gains.
Benefits of Boldenone
- Moderate yet consistent muscle mass gains – Unlike some steroids that rapidly balloon mass, boldenone promotes a steady pace of quality lean growth without water retention. Gains come slower but are easy to maintain long-term.
- Enhanced endurance – Besides muscle gains, boldenone improves endurance, so you can workout harder for longer.
- Improved vascularity – Boldenone has been shown to encourage increased red blood cell production. More RBCs improve vascularity and muscle definition.
- Appetite stimulation – You’ll likely experience a marked increase in appetite from boldenone doses. Being able to take in more calories easily is a great help with the process of bulking up.
For those new to using boldenone or anabolic steroids in general, a lighter dosage of 300-400mg weekly is recommended. This more conservative dose should still provide excellent growth without overdoing it.
Experienced steroid users will tolerate higher Boldenone doses much better, with doses of 500-700mg per week.
Boldenone Cycles and Post-Cycle Therapy
We’d suggest a boldenone cycle of 12-16 weeks at moderate dosages to be adjusted depending on how you react to it. This should give you enough time for substantial muscular gains without the risk of increasing any side effects.
We’d also recommend post-cycle therapy (PCT) after ending the boldenone administration cycle. Use Clomid or stimulators like HCG to jumpstart natural testosterone function and restore hormonal equilibrium.
Boldenone Side Effects
- Estrogenic Effects – Like other steroids, Boldenone can convert to estrogen, causing water retention, fat gain, or gynecomastia in men. The estrogenic effects of Boldenone are usually not that strong unless you are taking it in high doses.
- Androgenic Effects – Being an androgen, Boldenone can also produce increased oiliness, acne, accelerated male pattern baldness, and body hair growth in both sexes.
- Cholesterol Issues – There’s some evidence that Boldenone may adversely impact HDL/LDL cholesterol levels and blood pressure at higher doses. Keeping cycles conservative is advised.
- HPTA Suppression – Natural hormonal function involving testosterone production may become suppressed during cycles, making PCT important.
