Sustanon is a steroid containing 4 different testosterone esters – propionate, isocaproate, phenylpropionate and decanoate. This mixture has a strong anabolic and androgenic effect, and its individual elements complement each other, creating a substance effective for both beginners and professionals.

Action of Sustanon

The appropriate combination of four testosterone esters with different properties results in the fact that some of them (propionate and phenylpropionate) start working after a short time, i.e. after a few days, and others (isocaproate and decanoate) after two weeks. This combination results in even action of the steroids and allows you to obtain optimal results in building substantial muscle mass.

The muscle mass built thanks to Sustanon is large in volume, but at the same time, it has relatively good definition, because testosterone reduces the level of adipose tissue in the body. In turn, its anti-catabolic properties reduce the effect of muscle breakdown, thanks to which the drops after the end of the cycle are relatively small. Importantly, however, Sustanon has the advantage that it increases not only mass and strength, but also muscle endurance, which allows for faster regeneration during exhausting workouts.

Side effects

As testosterone aromatises into oestrogen, you are likely to experience side effects during your cycle with it. Often there are such ailments as water retention in the body, gynecomastia, and increased amount of adipose tissue, acne, alopecia, increased body hair or excessively oily skin. Fortunately, there are ways to protect yourself from these unwanted consequences of taking Sustanon, such as anti-oestrogens such as Nolvadex or Proviron, aromatase inhibitors such as Arimidex or Aromasin, or finasterides – Proscar or Propecia.

Taking the complex of various testosterone esters contained in Sustanon causes the body to stop producing its own testosterone. While this is not a problem during the cycle, after its completion you should take care to restore the hormonal balance to its normal state. With this in mind, it is worth using HCG, Clomid or Nolvadex 3 weeks after the last injection (this is when the effect of Sustanon in the body expires).

Dosage

The standard dose of this steroid is 1 to 4 ampoules (250-1000 mg) per week for 2-3 months. Taking larger amounts is pointless and greatly increases the risk of side effects. If the gains turn out to be too unsatisfactory, you can assist with other anabolics. Dianabol, Winstrol, Anadrol or Trenbolone are well-suited for this purpose. Due to its strong masculinising effect, Sustanon is strongly discouraged for women.
