Clomid is the brand name for clomiphene citrate, a SERM (selective oestrogen receptor modulator). It works by blocking oestrogen receptors at the hypothalamus, which prompts the pituitary gland to release more LH and FSH. That signal is what pushes natural testosterone production back up after it has been shut down by a steroid cycle.

As a guide and not medical advice, many users run clomiphene at 50mg a day for the first two weeks, then drop to 25mg a day for another two weeks, giving a four week PCT block. Some also use a lower 25-50mg daily dose during a cycle purely to keep oestrogen in check. Actual dose and length should be based on your own cycle history and bloodwork, not a generic template.
